Eight Bells: André Jubinville

In April, André was diagnosed with cancer while in his favorite spot in Mexico and lost his battle shortly after. André was a longtime member of the CMWA, even one of its founding members in 1988. He switched to kiting a number of years ago but still followed the CMWA and the exploits of its members. Over the years he held various positions with the CMWA: Director of Publicity in 1988, Newsletter Design & Production, President, Past President, Membership Director.

André was also known for his artistic and musical talents. At the Burgess Enclave, he was often seen jamming with other fellow windsurfers and musicians. He will be remembered as a phenomenal racer, for his adventurous spirit, contagious enthusiasm, collegiality and attention to detail.
